Former Inter Allies and Asante Kotoko head coach Paa Kwesi Fabin has been handed the role as head of the national U-17 and U-20 teams of Uganda , the Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) have confirmed.
The former Black Starlets coach has been handed a one year contract with a primary task of supervising the affairs of the junior teams for a year subject to renewal.
Speaking with the media after he was unveiled by FUFA,Fabin revealed his plans for his new chapter.
“I am here for a mission. First, I want to guide the Uganda U-17 team at the AFCON U-17 finals. The time is very short but I will give it all my best shot. The youth need the patience to work with and develop to their best” He said.
Fabin was Ghana’s U-17 coach at the 2017 FIFA Under 17 world cup in India where the team was knocked out in the last 16 of the competition.
He will be in charge of the Tanzanian U-17 as they compete in the 2019 U-17 Africa Cup of nations.
