Two suspects were Monday arraigned at the Milimani Law Courts in the Kenyan capital Nairobi and charged with obtaining 800 bibles under false pretense.

Appearing before Nairobi Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi, the two; Reuben Rogoi Maina and John Mapesa Andulu were accused of presenting a fake cheque of Ksh.920,000 to a Nairobi-based Bible translating organization as payment for the 800 pieces of the Holy book.

The included 300 pieces of New King James Version, 200 Good News Bibles and 300 pieces of New International Version Bibles.

They denied the charges and were released on a Ksh.200,000 cash bail each.
