Transfer Battle: WestBrom, Middlesbrough Go Head-To-Head For Ghanaian Winger

English topflight side, WestBrom and Championship side Middlesbrough are locking horns in a race to sign Dutch-born Ghanaian attacker, Edwin Gyasi ahead of the January transfer window.

They could also face a stiff duel from Sunderland FC who are reportedly interested in capturing the signature of the wing-wizard.

The 26 year-old who currently plays for Norwegian Tippeligaen side, Aalesund FK has netted 12 goals in 53 appearances since joining them in 2016 from Dutch side, Roda JC.

Gyasi made his international debut in Ghana’s 5-1 mauling of Congo in September and scored his first goal in 1-1 draw against the Pharaohs of Egypt in the final match of the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier in Cape Coast in November 2017.
