Hearts Of Oak striker Joseph Esso was awarded the man of the match in Wednesday’s Special cup clash against Inter Allies at the Accra Sports Stadium. The 23-year-old striker nicked a second man of the match award and a second straight one at home in the ongoing Special competition.
He opened his account in the competition by bagging a brace against his former team Ebusua Dwarfs in Match day four before scoring against Inter Allies on match-day seven.
After Robert Sowah’s opener, Esso scored the second goal of the game by going past Inter Allies goalkeeper Clement Aryee before slotting the ball into the empty net. After a fantastic off-season form ,the energetic striker seems to have found his rythm once more in the special competition for the Phobians.
Hearts of Oak are now 3rd on the Zone B log, just a point behind leaders Karela United.
