S.T Nettey Memorial Cup: Auroras And Dreams FC U-20 To Play Curtain Raiser


Accra Hearts of Oak will host fellow top flight side Dreams FC for the S.T Nettey Memorial Cup at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday February 24.

The game is earmarked to honour the late S.T Nettey. Mr. Samuel Tetteh Nettey was the Spiritual Head and Patron of the club before his death in 2007.  He was the son of the Principal Founder of the Club, Asafoatse C.B. Nettey who served as Commissioner of Labour and Social Welfare under the regime of the late General J.A Ankrah of the National Liberation Council (NLC).

Hearts’ junior side Auroras and Dreams FC U-20 will also be involved in a curtain raiser at 1:30 pm before the main tie at 3: 30 pm.

The game would be Kim Grant’s sixteenth game since taking charge of the Phobians as head coach. The last two games involving both sides have ended in a draw.
