Former Black Satellites forward Ropapa Mensah was the highest winner in Nashville SC’s awards night held last Wednesday.
Ropapa who is on loan from Ghana premier League side Inter Allies bagged two accolades at the Club’s end of season awards night.
The young attacker nicked the night’s first honor as the club’s Young Player of the Year after he netted six goals with five assists with a game to be played on Saturday.
The FAN-tastic moment of the season went to Ropapa, Bradley Bourgeois and Michael Reed for their role in Ropapa’s last second game-winner against North Carolina FC earlier this season.
After an inaugural season that saw multiple records set both on and off the field, Nashville SC celebrated on Wednesday night at the “Taste of Nashville SC” with food, drink and end of the season awards.
The trophies, made up of a guitar head stock, were awarded to Nashville SC’s Young Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year, and Most Valuable Player.
Nashville SC have a final game more to end the season.They will be up against FC Cincinnati at the First Tennessee Park on Saturday night. They could clinch a playoff spot with a win on Saturday.
They play in the United Soccer League, which is the second tier of US soccer.
