Ghanaian giants Asante Kotoko are in for Kariobangi Sharks striker George Abege according to reports from the West Africa nation.
Abege was a second-half substitute in Sharks Sunday win over English Premier League side Everton and scored a penalty in the tie and according to GhanaSoccernet, Kotoko has already started negotiating with Sharks.
Kotoko is said to have been impressed by the Ugandan when they met in the first round of the CAF Confederations earlier this year and are confident that they can lure the lanky striker to Ghana.
Should he pen a deal with Kotoko, Abege will become the seventh new player in their ranks after the team snapped up goalkeeper Kwame Baah, winger Mathew Kelvin Andoh, defender Empem Dacoster, midfielder Justice Blay and Ivorian striker Adingra Bidodane Moussa.
Abege joined Sharks in June 2018 together with Moses Mwangi (who has since moved to Ulinzi Stars) from Sony Sugar FC.
Apart from Sony and Sharks, Abege has featured for Nairobi City Stars and Bandari FC in the Kenyan Premier League.
