The Police have seized cell phones and a laptop belonging to embattled Ghana Football Association President Kwesi Nyanatakyi after a search was conducted at his house on Wednesday night.
On Tuesday, the President Akufo-Addo reported Nyantakyi to the Police after an uncover video revealed that the Ghana FA boss used his name to extort monies from investors.
Following Akufo-Addo’s decision, Nyantakyi who was in Morocco at that time arrived in Ghana on Wednesday morning and reported himself to the Police.
After 5 hours of interrogation at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service, the CAF 1st Vice President was granted an inquiry bail before being whisked to his house to enable the Police conduct a search.
Per reports, the Police did not find significant materials connected with the investigation but seized his laptop and cell phones which have been taken to the CID headquarters to help in investigations.
The Ghana FA boss has officially been charged with defrauding by false pretense.
