Photos: Watch The Updated World Cup Trophies Revealed By Adidas

With just a day till the start of the 2018 World Cup in Russia. The Golden Ball, Golden Boot and Golden glove are out. The upgraded trophies were revealed by Adidas and FIFA some days ago. Here are they:

Golden Glove:

The Golden Glove trophy is presented to the best goalkeeper of the tournament. The award was introduced with the name Lev Yashin Award in 1994, in honor of the late Soviet goalkeeper. The FIFA Technical Study Group recognises the top goalkeeper of the tournament based on the player’s performance throughout the final competition. This award was won by German and Bayern Munich goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer at the World Cup finals in Brazil 21014.

Golden Boot:

The Adidas Golden Boot is awarded to the top-scorer at FIFA World Cup finals. f there is more than one player with the same number of goals, since 1994 the tie-breaker goes to the player who has provided the most assists, with the FIFA Technical Study Group deciding whether an assist is to be counted as such. This year’s trophy has been refreshed from the 2014 Copa Mundial design with an updated X 18+ model. This trophy was last won by Bayern Munich and Columbian midfielder, James Rodriquez after netting six goals at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Golden Ball:

The Golden Ball award is presented to the best player at FIFA World Cup finals, with a shortlist drawn by the Technical committee and the winner voted by the representative of the media. However, the Golden Ball trophy has been redesigned in accordance with the official Match Ball of the 2018 World Cup. It was last picked by Barcelona and Argentina forward Lionel Messi at the World Cup finals four years ago in Brazil.
