Photos: Gov’t Presents 64 Vehicles To The Ghana Police Service


In line with President Akufo-Addo’s commitment to resourcing the Ghana Police Service, government has presented 64 vehicles to augment their fleet.

The vehicles are expected to enhance mobility as well as the operational capabilities of the Ghana Police Service.

The handing over was done at the Ghana Police Service’s headquarters on Wednesday, April 17,2019 by the Minister for the Interior, Mr. Ambrose Dery.

The Minister charged the Service to use the vehicles effectively and also for the intended purpose.

This is the third of such presentation since the assumption into office of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. The vehicles comprise 20 land cruisers, 25 Toyota camry salon cars and 19 Toyota Hilux pick ups

Receiving the keys to the vehicles, the Inspector General of Police, Asante Appietu, assured government that his outfit would put the cars into good use especially in fighting crime.
