Head coach of Uganda’s U-17 male team,Paa Kwesi Fabin, and his charges responded to their opening day defeat to Angola in the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations with a marauding 3-0 victory over host nation Tanzania on Wednesday.
The former Ghana U-17 coach who lost his first competitive game in charge of the Ugandan U-17 team got his lads to put up a splendid performance in their second group game of the competition by beating the host country convincingly.
The result means Uganda would have to defeat group leaders Nigeria in their final game to have any chance of advancing to the next stage of the competition and as well qualify to the 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Uganda are tied on three points with Angola who defeated them in the first group game with Nigeria leading the pack on six points.Tanzania are yet to get a point in the competition.
Paa Kwesi Fabin and his lads would have to beat Nigeria to have the advantage no matter what transpires in the other group game involving host Tanzania and Angola.
