English club Everton have announced the signing of Barcelona’s Andre Gomes on a five-year-deal in a deal worth £22m.
The Portuguese impressed at the Goodison Park while with the Toffees last season, prompting the Liverpool-based side to push for a permanent deal from Barcelona.

Speaking after signing permanently for Everton, he said “Last year was a really good experience for me. I just wanted to feel part of something special and I found it here. It was good for me at that moment and right now, after signing for Everton, it’s even better.”
“I think the ambition from the club is not only for me, I think it’s for all the players and the fans. We are all excited about that” He added.

Gomes initially joined Everton on a season-long loan from Barcelona on transfer deadline day in August 2018 and made his debut in a 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace in October 2018 at Goodison Park.
