Hearts of Oak forward Kojo Obeng Junior says there is more to come on his way after netting his first goal for the club.
The young goal poacher opened up his account for the Phobians last Sunday scoring the first goal in the 1-1 draw game with Elmina Sharks in the finals of this year’s Bakatue Festival Cup which the Accra giants lost 4-2 on penalties.
Obeng debuted for Hearts of Oak four months ago in the Phobians’ 1-0 win over Asante Kotoko but he had to wait till July to get his first goal.
He was slipped through on goal by substitute Samudeen Ibrahim but still had a lot of work to do as he held off his marker to drill low into the bottom corner.
“I am very happy to get my first goal for Hearts,”Obeng told phobians.com
“I have waited for the some time to get off the mark but now that it has come, i am hoping that this goal is going to be the to be the first of many to come.
“Hearts is a big club and it takes time to settle but i believe that there is more to come from me. I did not feel pressure when i did not score in the games i played in because i was waiting for the moment. I am working every day at training to improve and to be able to start scoring when the league resumes.
