The Youth and Sports Minister, Isaac Asiamah, on behalf of Government of Ghana has formed a two-member committee to liaise with FIFA and CAF regarding football affairs in Ghana.
The persons are Dr. Kofi Amoah (Head of Liaison Team) and veteran coach Francis Oti Akenteng (member).
Following Anas’ video which captured top FA officials and referees taking bribes to influence the outcome of certain games, Government decided to dissolve the Ghana Football Association.
Due that, the Government held two separate meetings in Accra and Zurich to resolve the current impasse facing football in Ghana..
After government last Thursday’s meeting with FIFA in Zurich, the aforementioned names has been mandated to run the affairs of football in the country.
A portion of a press statement signed by Isaac Asiamah read:
“Pending the institution of definite interim measures for the administration of football in Ghana, the following persons (Dr. Kofi Amoah and Coach Oti Akenteng) are mandated to constitute a Liaison Team with FIFA and the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for football affairs in Ghana.”
