The New Patriotic Party (NPP) will beat the opposition National Democratic Congress in the 2020 polls in the Damongo Constituency in the Northern region. Deputy Chief of Staff, Samuel Abu Jinapor has indicated.
According to him, since 2004 his party,NPP has made huge gains, climbing steadily from a 34.25 percent in 2004 to 42.25 percent of votes in 2016 elections.
Interacting with scores of NPP supporters at the Annual Delegates Conference in Damongo in the Northern Region, he said the NPP, will in the coming years, be a party of choice for the people in the area.
The NPP is a development oriented party that does not discriminate, citing the tractor services programme they are offering the people in the area, drilling of boreholes among others in the constituency. ”he added.”
Nontheless, he said they are working hard to ensure that more NDC members defect to the NPP.
“We are looking for a every member of the NDC in the constituency to join our party even if the sitting member of parliament who is an NDC comes to join our party we will receive him whole heartedly” he further stated.”
