Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram Sam Nettey George has revealed to the Commission of Inquiry that his trust in the police was shaken, hence he did not hand over bullet casings to the police during investigation.
Mr. George on Monday was at the Commission of Inquiry yesterday where he gave his account of what transpired at Ayawaso West Wougon constituency during the By-election where he tendered in bullet casings and one live round which he claim was from the shooting scene at the Ayawaso By-election.
Asked by the Chairman of the Commission why he did not give the said bullet casings to the police to carry out investigations, he said, his trust in the police at the time was shaken and that it is the trust he had in the Commission, hence he tendered in those bullet casings
” I brought the bullet casing because of my trust i have for the Commission. I did not bring out the bullet casing because my trust in the Police was shaken”. he exclaimed
Mr. Sam Geoge was part of persons who were assaulted during the Ayawaso By-election; he is currently giving his testimony to the Commission of Inquiry.
