Financial Consultant, analyst and columnist Mr. Sydney Casely Hayford has referred to witnesses who appeared at the Commission of Inquiry as liars citing that their testimonies do not amount to nothing. According to Mr. Hayford, the testimonies of the witnesses were false and that they were not credible enough in his view
“A lot of the people who came the scene to testify were incredulous”. He said
Mr. Casely was speaking on the BIG ISSUE on an Accra base radio station Citi Fm where he was asked to share his views on the Commission of Inquiry.
However speaking on the testimony of Sam George Member of Parliament for Ningo Prampram and a victim of the Ayawaso By-election violence, Mr. Hayford noted that he was taken aback by his testimony and the fact that he (Sam George) managed to appear at the Commission with bullet casings following the physical assault he was subjected by members of the supposedly National Security personnels.
Nonetheless, the Anti- corruption campaigner was optimistic that, the report of the Commission chaired by former Supreme Court Judge Emile Short will be credible.

A Commission of Inquiry was set by the President Nana-Addo to look into the violence that characterized the Ayawaso By-election. So far, the commission has taken testimonies of some persons who were involved in the Ayawaso By-election including award winning journalist Bernadino Koku Avle.
