The Ghana Meteorological Agency (GMet) has predicted rains and thunderstorm in the national capital and other parts of the Greater Accra Region in the afternoon of Tuesday, 8 May 2018.
A weather warning issued by GMet, said: “A moderate to heavy rainstorm observed over the eastern coastline of the country, is expected to propagate westward and affect most places along the east coast of Ghana with rain and thunderstorms this afternoon, and further move west to affect the west coast…”
The storms are expected to be accompanied by strong winds and expected to affect the country as follows:
1330 – 1600: GREATER ACCRA (Tema, Spintex, Madina, Airport, Accra, Kasoa)
1500 – 1800: CENTRAL REGION (Saltpond, Winneba, Cape Coast)
1600 – 1900: WESTERN REGION (Takoradi, Axim, Sekondi)
