The Black Stars B of Ghana held the Stallions of Burkina Faso in a fascinating 2-2 draw in the first leg of their African Nations Championship (CHAN) qualifier on Saturday.
The Black Stars B claim the lead in the first half through Sadick Adams who converted from the penalty spot but Sylla Mohammed restored parity for Burkina Faso with just seven minutes into the second half.
The Stallions had been outplayed on their own soil as the Black Stars put huge pressure on them. The pressure indeed counted as they claimed the lead through Gideon Waja who provided a fine finish to make it 2-1 and put the Black Stars on course for victory.
The Black Stars B failed to hold onto their lead as Burkina substitute Iliase Sawadogo struck to make it 2-2 and tee up the second leg tie perfectly.
The return game will be played at Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi next week Sunday. The aggregate winner will qualify for the 2018 CHAN finals in Kenya.
