There is nothing of greater concerns to Ex- president Mahama now than to win the 2020 general. However in an attempt to win the heart of members of his party, Mr. Mahama has made calls saying the party must honour it former chairman Dr. Kwaben Adjei by winning power come 2020.
This call was made when he was eulogizing the former party chairman who died on Tuesday at the Ridge Hospital here in Accra. Eulogizing the former Chairman when he visited his home, he said Dr. Kwabena Adjei has done a lot for the party especially when during his tenure as Chairman he led the party to victory in the 2008 General Elections.
He also added that the party will stand with the family to give Dr kwabena Adjei a befitting burial. Dr. Adjei died at the Greater Accra Regional Hospital after a short illness in the early hours of Tuesday, March 12, 2019.
In view of this development, the Induction ceremony of the Flagbearer, John Dramani Mahama, which was scheduled to be held on Wednesday March 13, 2019 has been postponed indefinitely.
Dr. Adjei until his passing was a member of the Council of Elders of the party, a former Member of Parliament for Biakoye Constituency, a former PNDC Deputy Secretary for Volta Region and Former PNDC Deputy Secretary for Industries, Science & Technology.
