Medeama SC midfielder Kwesi Donu has set his sights on this season’s Ghana Premier League following his side’s impressive display in the ongoing campaign.
Last Sunday, the Mauve and Yellows defeated Dreams FC 2-0 on match day 12 at the T&A Park.
With the win, the two-time FA Cup champions have amassed 20 points one point adrift the leaders Ashanti Gold.
“It’s a good win for us but we must give respect to Dreams FC for giving us a tough assignment,” the midfielder told his club’s official website.
“The belief is always there. When you play for such a club, you start every competition believing that you can win it.”
“Some bad games didn’t allow us to win it last year, but we need to find that consistency that can make us fight in the last months and be one of those teams that will be up there.”
“We’re really pleased with our start, but it’s only a start.”
“We’ve won six games with confidence and good football. Let’s see how it goes going forward.”
Medeama, will play away to Berekum Chelsea in their next game.
