Black Stars head coach, James Kwasi Appiah, has announced a 23-man squad for Ghana’s double header with Sierra Leone set for 11th and 14th of October in the 2019 AFCON qualifiers.
The big news is ,the Ayew brothers (Andre and Jordan) are still missing in the equation.
The game would be honoured at the Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi as Ghana seeks to seal a spot for next year’s Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
Seven players have made a return to the squad with Skipper Asamoah Gyan and Mubarak Wakaso the pick of the bunch.
Portugal based defender Lumor Agbenyenu makes a return together with Bernard Mensah,Richmond Boakye Yiadom,John Boye and Jonathan Mensah while Asante Kotoko shot stopper Felix Annan remains the only local based player in the team .
The Black Stars would be looking to bounce back from their 1-0 defeat to Kenya last month as they fancy their chances against Sierra Leone at the Baba Yara Sports stadium.
