Kwesi Appiah Head Coach of the Black Stars ,Kwesi Appiah, may meet the Ghana Football Association Normalization Committee again over contract talks, according to inside reports.
The 58-year-old was handed a six month extension by the Normalization Committee in January which means, primarily the former Ghana defender would supervise the Black Stars campaign at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt before any other considerations could be made.
But the story emanating from the camp of the Black Stars head coach has it that, he is not happy with the number of months given and would therefore want to meet the NC with regards to a possible two year extension.
The qualifiers of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar begins a few months after the 2019 AFCON and Appiah would fancy being in the thick of affairs to ensure Ghana qualifies to the next FIFA World Cup.
A six month contract may look a good deal but the Black stars gaffer wants a clearer road map to be outlined in sync with his plans for the national team, that is to qualify Ghana to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Ghana missed out on the 2018 edition of the FIFA World Cup and cannot afford to put a foot wrong in securing qualification to the next edition.
