Asante Kotoko held their first training session in Asante Mampong on Tuesday as they begin a four-day camping ahead of upcoming semi-final clash with Hearts of Oak and Ashgold.
Charles Kwablan Akonnor’s Porcupines could face Hearts of Oak at the Accra Sports Stadium in the semi-final of the Tier-One for a slot in the title match.
That is dependent on the outcome of the Normalisation Committee’s handling of the team’s decision to boycott the game due to their disapproval of the selection of the match venue and disbursement of the gate proceeds.
The game would be followed with another semi-final clash with Ashgold in the Tier-Two at a yet-to-be-disclosed venue.
C. K. Akonnor’s men are in the mountainous town, trimming the rough edges and working on their fitness ahead of the two games.
The Porcupines are leaving no stone unturned in their quest to win the two competitions which have come as stopgaps to the Premier League and FA Cup respectively.
The squad will hold their second training of the day at the Asante Mampong campus of the University of Education, Winneba at 3 PM today.
