Former Milan forward Kevin-Prince Boateng looks set for a surprise return to Italy with Sassuolo, according to Football Italia.
The Ghanaian international had two separate spells with the Rossoneri, winning the Scudetto in the 2010-11 season.
The 31-year-old spent last season with Eintracht Frankfurt, helping them to a shock win over Bayern Munich in the DFB Pokal final.
According to reports in Italy, Boateng will return to Italy this summer, with a three-year contract already agreed.
Once the final details of the deal with Eintracht Frankfurt are agreed he will be officially announced as a Neroverdi player.
