According to reports we are picking from the meeting that transpired between the Normalization Committee and the four clubs (Kotoko,Hearts of Oak,Ash Gold,Karela fc) in the semi-finals of the NC’s tier one competition, states that the clubs involved will get 45% each from the gate proceeds.
The semi-final clash will see Hearts of Oak play arch-rivals Asante Kotoko at the Accra Sports Stadium on the 16th of May while AshGold will welcome Karela United at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium on saturday 15th of May.
This report was confirmed by the Public Relations Officer of Karela United, Eric Alagidede on Happy 98.9 FM momemts ago.
”Per the meeting held today, Kotoko will get 45%, Hearts will get 45% and the GFA will take 10%. Same theory applies to Ashgold and Karela FC.
He also hinted that the decision will be a good news for Hearts of Oak and Kotoko alone because attendance at the Len Clay Sports Stadium won’t be encouraging as compared to the turnout at the Accra Sports stadium.
”This is a good news for Hearts and Kotoko but definitely not us Karela because we will travel and the people of Obuasi don’t watch games that much”
