Former Mercielagos FC striker Francis Afriyie has signed a lucrative deal with Joy Industries Limited, producers of Joy Daddy bitter, Twedie Ginger and Sokoo. The 24-year-old signed a bumper deal with one of Ghana’s largest manufacturer of alcoholic beverage.
As part of the contract terms, the Eastern region based firm will manage the unattached player with the player as well representing the company as its brand ambassador.
“I feel happy to sign such a lucrative deal with Joy Industries. It is my target to work hard as a player with the mentality of playing for the national team”. He told Bryt FM.
“In fact, I would like to thank the President of the company, Dr. Manfred Takyi and his entourage for this deal”,
The President of Joy Industries Limited, Dr. Manfred Takyi expressed satisfaction following the signing of the talented player.
“We are happy to sign Francis. He is a great player having watch some of his videos. If he (Afriyie) gets the opportunity to feature for the Black Stars, I believe Ghana will never lose in any competition” he emphasized.
He expressed readiness to sign super players in the country with the idea of supporting them to pursue to high standard. Francis Afriyie is a former player of Bechem United and B A United.
Following the capture of the former Mexico-based player, this is the third signing of the company having captured US based Latif Blessing and AC Horoya player Patrick Razak.
