Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Black Meteors coach, Malik Jabir, is not happy with how he has been treated by the Ghana Football Association.
According to the outspoken coach, he has not received his salary ever since he took over as head coach of the U-23 national team. No official has said a word or given any sort of assurance with regards to his outstanding salary for the past three years.
He claims there was no appointment letter given to him before taking over as coach of the side. The Black Meteors are expected to begin camping ahead of a two legged u-23 AFCON qualifiers but Jabir is unaware of his fate as coach of the Black Meteors.
“I don’t know if I am the coach because I have ignored them after failing to pay me for three years and some months so how do they expect me to work without salary, no I won’t do such again,” he told Oyerepa FM.
“About four months ago on my way to Burkina Faso I received a message that C.K Akunnor has been handed the team so that’s it.”
“I am not sure anyone can approach me. No one, the fellow should make an attempt and they will not like what will happen”
“I am not interested, they can give the team to anyone of their choice, I care less about the team and what it is up to.”
The Black Meteors will engage Togo in a two legged encounter on 12th November for the first round of qualifiers for the U-23 AFCON to be held next year in Morocco.
