WBO Super Bantamweight / Junior featherweight world title holder, Isaac Dogboe is the special guest for the first Bukom Fist of Fury league outing tomorrow at the Bukom Boxing Arena.
Fourteen boxing clubs in the Greater Accra region will start the 2018 Bukom Fist of Fury Boxing League and Championship Fight Nights on Friday October 12, 2018 and Isaac Dogboe who returned to Ghana on Monday night, will grace the fight night as special guest.
President of the Ghana Boxing Association (GBA), Peter Zwennes, in an interview with GhanaCrusader.com revealed that the gentleman who knocked out Hidenori Otake in the first round to defend the WBO Super Bantamweight title he won in April against Jessie Magdaleno in the 11th round, is the special guest.
“Isaac (Dogboe) came back on Monday to a rousing welcome. We expect to see him at the Arena on Friday as a special guest.”
Dogboe, (20-0, 14 KOs), a 24-year-old orthodox who recently renewed his promotional partnership with Top Rank promotions is expected to serve as a role model for juvenile and amateur boxers who will be fighting on the night as they aspire to reach the pinnacle of the profession.
The following clubs or gyms Akotoku Academy, Attoh Quarshie Gym, Wisdom, The Gym, Fit Square, Discipline Gym, Black Panthers / Bukom Gym, Will Power / Maeskline Gym and Bronx /Accra Boxing Club, Seconds Out / Akakevor, Spartans / Square Deal, Charles Quartey Boxing Foundation, Sea View Gym and Panix / Powerful Gym, registered and will have their boxers on the fight bill for opening weekend.
The league is in two rounds for 26 weeks.
