Increase in VAT will cripple businesses – Mahama tells Gov’t

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo will crush his much-touted mantra of “from tax assessment to creation” if Value Added Tax (VAT) goes up, previous president John Dramani Mahama has said.

Mr Mahama trusts organizations are as of now enduring and any endeavor to expand VAT will injure them.

The previous Ghanaian pioneer’s worry returns on the of media reports proposing that VAT may go up to 21.5 for every penny from the current 17.5 for every penny.

The Daily Statesman provided details regarding Friday, 13 July 2018 that Nana Akufo-Addo is against the climb as proposed to him by the financial administration group drove by Finance Minister, Ken Ofori Atta.
