Head coach of Accra Hearts Oak has cleared the air over “weather” comments made after his side’s defeat to Elmina Sharks in game week two of the GFA Normalization Committee Special competition.
According to the former Black Stars striker, he only made a suggestion about the kick-off times but never blamed his side’s defeat on the weather. Speaking to the media after the Karela- Hearts game, Grant emphasized his stand point.
“I didn’t blame our defeat on the weather. I only made a suggestion about the kick off time. I never said we lost because of the weather”.
The Hearts of Oak gaffer thinks the kick off times doesn’t favour the teams, mostly at 3 pm the sun is up and turns out to dehydrate the players.” This he thinks curtails the quality of display.
Meanwhile Hearts of Oak will play against Ebusua Dwarfs at 3pm on Wednesday at the Accra Sports Stadium as they seek to respond to recent defeats in a row at Elmina Sharks and Karela FC.
