Asante Kotoko forward Abdul Fatawu Safiu has called for Ghana Premier Clubs to show more discipline and commitment. Safiu believes that the local league has plenty of talents but as they say, talent alone is not enough.
“We have talents in Ghana league but what other African clubs are doing which is different from ours is that their players are very disciplined and professional,” Fatawu told Atinka Sports.
The 24-year-old further drew from his earlier observations in the CAF Confederation Cup where the Porcupine Warriors faced Zesco United, Nkana FC (both Zambia) and Al Hilal of Sudan.
“During our campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup, most of the teams we faced are well organized and we must replicate it in Ghana,” he concluded.
The Red-hot attacker has had spells outside Ghana in the past, where he played for Vimmerby IF, Portland Timbers and the Vancouver Whitecaps.
