The second round of the ongoing GHALCA 8 competition came to a close yesterday with 11 goals produced. Premier League newcomers, Karela FC were the highest scorers of the round. They mauled Ebusua Dwarfs 4-0 at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Thursday afternoon. Thanks to Solomon Sarfo’s hattrick and William Opoku’s goal.
Hearts of Oak were 2-0 losers to Medeama SC in the other Group B game which was also played at the same venue on Wednesday. Kwame Boateng and Agyenim Boateng got the goals for the Tarkwa-based club.
In Group A, Dreams FC picked their first three points of the campaign after beating Asante Kotoko 1-0 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Wednesday. Thanks to Richard Addae’s goal.
In the other game in Group B, Aduana Stars advanced through to the next stage of the competition following a 3-1 win over Eleven Wonders at the same venue on Thursday. Their goals came from Bright Adjei, Noah Martey and new recruit, Ulitch Oba and Sure Wonders got their consolation goal via Larbi Koomson.
