The Ghana Football Association will be appealing Government’s decision to place injunction on the Association following Anas Video which captured top FA officials taking bribes to influence certain games.
On Thursday, an Accra High Court granted an injunction against officials of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), thereby paving the way for the Registrar General to be appointed the official liquidator of the local football governing body.
The plan to liquidate the GFA was contained in a petition filed by the Attorney-General, acting on behalf of the government, last month at the High Court for the dissolution of the GFA.
According to information gathered by Ghanacrusader.com, following the court’s ruling, the GFA officials have met and they have asked their Lawyer, Cynthia Clinton to appeal Government’s decision to place an injunction on the Association.
They have also asked their Lawyer to apply for “Stay of Execution”.
