Former Ghana U-20 player , Moses Odjer, could soon naturalize to play for Gambia, ghanacrusader.com can confirm. The Gambian Football Federation have approached the Ghanaian to secure his services in the Gambian senior national team.
Lamin Jallow who is Odjer’s teammate at Salernitana recommended the Ghanaian to their football federation. The back story is that , Jallow has been amazed about the qualities of the diminutive midfielder and did not understand why such a talent is not featuring in any of Ghana’s national teams thus the decision to consult his country’s federation, upon consultation with his colleague, about considering a nationality switch for the talented midfielder.
Odjer, 22, has not played competitive football for the senior national team despite playing for the Black Starlets , Satellites which makes him eligible to naturalize for the west African country.He featured at the 2013 World Youth Championship held in Turkey.
According to inside sources, paper works are being finalized to secure a Gambian passport for the US Salernitana player.
