Friendly: Hearts Defeat All Blacks 2-0 in Swedru


Accra Hearts of Oak beat Swedru All Blacks 2-0 at the Swedru Sports Stadium to win the Obaahema Abena Agyima Memorial Cup on Independence day. The game marked Kim Grant’s 18th game in charge as head coach of the Phobians.

After a barren first half, it took Joseph Esso’s 62nd minute spot kick and Youngster Mitchelle Sarpong’s 85th minute solo effort to hand the Phobians the vital win over the division one league side.

Kim Grant and his charges continue their impressive off season form with another victory in the bag.

Hearts of Oak recently defeated Dreams FC in a special cup game at the Accra Sports Stadium.They followed it up with another friendly with Nkwakaw based Kaakyire FC which ended 1-1 before handing Swedru All Blacks a defeat at their own back yard with a 2-0 victory on Independence day.
