Former Inter Milan youth midfielder Stephen Danso who plays for Italian Seria C outfit Rimini FC says he is targeting qualification into the Seria B within the shortest possible time.
The 20 year-old central midfielder, who racked up 10 appearances in the first round of the Seria C, has been a very huge asset for his side until his injury early in January.
For a player whose name may not be common in Ghana, it is interesting to find out that the talented midfielder was at the youth ranks of Inter Milan before making a switch to the Seria C side to gain more experience and possibly secure more game time.
Settling down into the Seria C have not been a problem for the former MBC Football Club player.He has won the admiration of teammates and fans at the club since joining them.
Danso was full of praise for his colleagues and fans at the club for aiding his smooth transition into the first team.
“I am very happy here and the support has been amazing from everyone here,the fans and my teammates.At first you will doubt the kind of reception you will get from people you don’t know but when I got here everyone has played a vital part for me to settle well in here.“He told Ghanacrusader.com
Like every young footballer, the dream is to play in the topmost division and Danso is no exception.The hardworking midfielder has set sights on making a huge step in his career by aiding Ramini FC to qualify to the Seria B within the shortest time.
“My dream is to move forward, when you play in the top flight people see you and you get the recognition as well.I will want to do more to help the team secure qualification into the next stage. We will take it step by step , hopefully we can charge on.”
There are only two African players in the team , Danso and Gambia player Modou Badjie.
