Former Hearts Player On The Brink Of Joining Leopards

James Abban of Aduana FC challenging Isaac Oduro of Accra Hearts of Oak

Former Hearts of Oak left back, Isaac Oduro, is on the verge of joining Kenyan side AFC Leopards on a two-year deal.

The Ghanaian defender who has been training with the Kenyan giants is currently being assessed by head coach Robert Matano, who is keen on acquiring a replacement for injured left back Marcus Abwao.

Chairman of AFC Leopards, Dan Mule in an interview said: “Oduro is with the team already and we will offer him a contract if he impresses in training.

“The coach proposed we give him a chance to train with us for three or four days and if he is content with his qualities, we shall give him a two-year contract.

” If we miss on him, we will initiate talks with other leftbacks as Abwao has undergone a surgery and will be out for a long spell. We are also on course in bringing in a Cameroonian forward, who is already in the country,” said Mule.

Oduro will join fellow compatriot Prince Papa if he secures a deal with Leopards who will feature in next season’s CAF Confederation Cup.
