Football: Melvin Pinnick Takes Up CAF 1st Vice President Role

Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Boss, Amaju Melvin Pinnick has been appointed as the 1st vice president of Confederation of African Football (CAF).

Pinnick replaces Mr. Kwesi Nyantekyi who is currently been probed after being caught in a dubious act.

The 49 year-old lawyer as well as some top officials were seen in a video done by under-cover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas receiving bribe to influence the outcome of matches and provide playing time for players into the national teams.

Following the expose, the Wa All Stars bankroller resigned from his post as the President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) as well as CAF 1st Vice President.

He also stepped down as the Federation of International Football (FIFA) council member.

Mr Pinnick comes in for Mr. Nyantekyi who has been banned from taking part in all football related activities.
