Exclusive: Basigi Optimistic About Ghana’s Qualification Chances

Head coach of Ghana’s female U-20 team, Yussif Basigi, remains upbeat about Ghana’s chances of progressing to the next round of qualifiers as they scheduled to lock horns with the Algerian counterparts on on Saturday, 16 September, 2017.

The Black Princesses will be fighting for a spot at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup to be held in France next year.

According to the highly experienced football coach, the respect their opponents and are very well prepared for them.

“We respect our opponents and you would have to respect your opponent to get prepared for them. We are not under estimating our opponent and hopefully we shall edge them and progress to the next round which am highly optimistic about,” Basigi told Ghanacrusader.com

He added: ” The government has been very supportive and the Sports Minister has assured them various packages we are able to qualify.”

The Black Princesees on Tuesday departed from Ghana to Algiers to continue preparations for Saturday’s crucial encounter.
