Ghanaian born Jeremiah Prempeh featured for Luxembourg side, F91 Dudelange in their Europa league defeat to AC Milan on Thursday night.
The 30 year old defender was named in Coach Dino Toppmoeller’s starting eleven and lasted the entire duration against Genaro Gattusso’s side.
Prempeh received a yellow card in the 56th minute of that encounter.
It took a 59th minute Gonzalo Higuain strike to condemn F91 Dudelange to a first defeat in their Europa league group opener and debut as well.
Formed in 1991 as a consolidation of three clubs who had tumbled on hard times in lesser divisions, Dudelange have gone on to win 23 domestic tittles and have been crowned champions of Luxembourg in the past three seasons.
The club’s summer net expenses on 18 players was just over 2m euros (£1.77m) as against an AC Milan side who coughed £16.3million euros for Gonzalo Higuain on loan.
Jeremiah Prempeh was born in Ghana (Kumasi), but has French citizenship.
