Ghana midfielder Alfred Duncan was on the scorers sheet for Sassuolo when they lost 3-5 at home to Sampdoria on Saturday afternoon in the Italian Seria A.
The 26-year-old found the back of the net against his former team but that could only serve as a consolation for Sassuolo. Duncan has been called into the Black Stars squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of nations qualifier against Kenya next weekend and his goal sets the tone for a fantastic comeback into the national team.
He is one of the players that could be earning a starting berth when the Black Stars take to the pitch next weekend against the Harambee Stars. The former Inter Milan man has featured in 19 Serie A games for the Neroverdis and has scored 4 times this season.
Sassuolo now sit 12th on the seria A table after 28 games.
