Dr. Brown, the owner of BGAF-G told the Asantehemaa that cases of Sickle Cell Disease have been misinterpreted by the public to be witchcraft, curses or better still wizardry.
He explained that sickle cell is a genotype blood disease that has been misrepresented and stressed the public needs to be educated about it, especially couples, to know their blood types before getting married to prevent their children being born with sickle cell diseases.
He appealed to Her Royal Highness to give him her blessing and support to reach out to the masses and educate them about blood genotypes before starting families.
Baffour Adusei Kese, Adumhene who received the items on behalf of the Queen Mother thanked the BGAF team for their kind gesture and the effort to improve the Queen Mother’s health.
