Alvaro Morata will be seeking a permanent move to Atletico Madrid after claiming he does not feel ‘appreciated or loved’ at Chelsea.
Morata left Chelsea in January and joined Madrid on an 18-month loan deal after being deemed surplus to requirements by boss Maurizio Sarri. The Spaniard, who joined the Blues in 2017, netted 24 goals in 72 appearances during his spell helping the club to win the FA Cup in his debut season.
“I had lost confidence in myself previously. I was very upset by the opinion of the people in England. I think they caught me in the middle of everything,” the 26-year-old told Goal.
The 26-year-old is now hoping to seal a permanent return to Atleti where he has netted six goals in 17 appearances in the Spanish capital.
