Reports coming through indicate that Kumasi Asante Kotoko have been fined $4000 by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for the poor conditions of seats at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium which was meant for technical team during the Confederation Cup competition.
Referring to CAF rules and regulations, the state of the seats didn’t match the required standard, most of the away teams are said to have complained about the state of the seats at the dug-out.
Reports indicate Kotoko have since been informed about the fine.
Kotoko faced Kariobangi Sharks, Coton Sport, Zesco United, Nkana FC and Al Hilal during their campaign in the CAF Confederation Cup in both the group stages and knockout stages. CAF sources told Ghana Crusader all the away sides were consistent with their complaints regarding the state of the seats meant for substitutes and officials.
