Real Madrid have confirmed the transfer of the 21-year-old Bosnian striker Luka Jovic from Eintracht Frankfurt on a six-year contract.
The 21-year-old has signed a six-year contract with the Spanish side which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2025.
The Serbian striker has been in terrific form for Eintracht Frankfurt this season, scoring 27 goals in 47 appearances. Ten of those came in the Europa League, where he helped the Bundesliga side reach the semi-finals before being knocked out on penalties by Chelsea.
Having begun his career with Red Star Belgrade, Jovic joined Portuguese side Benfica as a teenager, and had been on loan at Frankfurt since the summer of 2017, until that deal was made permanent last month.
Jovic’s arrival looks likely to be just one part of a significant rebuild under Zinedine Zidane at the Bernabeu this summer, after a disastrous season.
