Black Stars assistant coach Maxwell Konadu has been sacked from his position with just a week to the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya, Ghanacrusader.com’s sources have revealed.
Konadu was given the sack notice in a meeting with the Minister for Youth and Sports Isaac Asiamah and some members of the technical team. The Normalisation Committee called Mr. Konadu today to notify him of the decision to relieve off his post.
The Normalisation Committee was initially reluctant to the demands of Kwesi Appiah to sack Maxwell, but sources say they finally gave in to his request and notified him today. Maxwell’s position will be taken by the assistant coach of Danish side Nordsjaelland, Masud Didi Dramani, who will join Ibrahim Tanko as Kwesi Appiah’s two assistants.
Ishmael Hamidu who is the equipment officer of the Black Stars have also been sacked. Reports has it that, this decision was against the wish of the Normalisation Committee but they had to later agree with the decision.
