Argenis Mendez’s trainer Asa Beard has predicted a TKO win for his charge over Ghana’s Emmanuel Tagoe.
Tagoe will be making his first defense of his IBO lightweight strap against the former world champion at the Bukom Boxing Arena on September 2nd.
The clash will be Tagoe’s biggest fight since he turn pro in 2004 and Beard says the popular Ghanaian lightweight boxer will go down on the aforementioned date.
Ahead of the fight, Beard in an interview with BoxingAfrica.com said:
“The matchmaker called us about the Tagoe fight and we thought, why not? This is a way for us to capture the IBO world title. More important, we think Tagoe’s style is perfect for Argenis to look very good against. We are looking for a stoppage and a great performance from Argenis.”
