Interim WBO Africa lightweight champion George Ashie battle with full WBO Africa lightweight champion Simpiwe Vetyeka is on the table.
Ashie would have to take on the South African for the latter’s strap.
According to information gathered by Ghanacrusader.com, Ashie was billed to fight Vetyeka but the clash was cancelled after the reigning champion got injured in a hit and run car. Consequently, it has two broken legs.
Moving forward, Ashie fought Michael Mokoena from South Africa last month for the interim WBO Africa lightweight belt which the Ghanaian won via majority decision.
With the win, Ashie is now waiting for Vetyeka to recover so that they can fight.
