Isaac ‘the Royal Storm’ Dogboe (20-1, 14 KOs) is looking forward to avenging a painful defeat to Mexico’s Emanuel Navarrete (26-1, 22 KOs) by knocking him out in round four to reclaim the title he lost last year in their rematch which is billed for May 11, 2019, at the Convention Centre in Arizona, USA.
Navarrete dethroned Dogboe in their first fight on December 8, 2018, at the Madison Square Garden in New York but the Ghanaian anticipates a very tough clash against the Mexican but believes he has a better chance of stopping his opponent in their upcoming exchanges.
The gifted Ghanaian boxer who has fast cemented his legacy as Ghana’s first pay per view star lost a unanimous decision to Navarrete in a bout that shocked the entire boxing world especially when Dogboe has earlier destroyed the likes of Cesar Juarez, Jessie Magdaleno and Hidenori Otake.
Speaking ahead of his bout, the 2018 SWAG sports personality of the year was in his charged elements promising a fourth-round knockout of his nemesis on the night.
“I have accepted the defeat, I have accepted the fact that I underrated Navarrete, however, I am confident of victory, and I am going to knock him out in 4. You know something, at my lowest, Navarrete couldn’t knock me out. Isaac Dogboe is here to set the record straight.” Dogboe addressed the press at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel in Accra.
Team Dogboe is set to arrive on the 3rd of next month May 2019 in the USA in order to acclimatize with the Arizona hot weather according to his father and trainer Paul Dogboe.
